Lovevine

Relationship safety

Lovevine is made for couples to share by their own choice. No one should use the app to monitor or control another person. If you feel controlled, threatened or unsafe, you are not alone.

If you are in danger now

  • United States: 911 · National Domestic Violence Hotline 1-800-799-7233 (text START to 88788) · 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
  • United Kingdom: 999 · National Domestic Abuse Helpline 0808 2000 247
  • European Union: 112
  • Canada: 911 · Australia: 000 · 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732)
  • Brazil: 190 · 180 (women's helpline) · 188 (CVV)
  • Elsewhere: contact your local emergency number and domestic violence services.

What Lovevine does not do

  • It does not show your location.
  • It does not read messages from other apps, your contacts or photos you did not pick.
  • It does not run hidden: its icon and notifications are always visible.

Protecting yourself in the app

  • Disconnect at any time in the Connections card on the Home screen. It works as blocking: they can only reconnect with a new code from you. The other person does not need to agree, and that connection's data is deleted for both sides. They receive a disconnection notification; consider this in your safety plan.
  • Hide notification previews in iPhone Settings > Notifications > Lovevine.
  • Change your password and device passcode if someone may know them. Check the devices signed in to your Apple or Google account.
  • Delete data or your account in Settings > Data and Privacy.
  • Deleting the app removes local data from the device. If you signed in with Apple, you can also revoke access in Settings > [your name] > Sign in with Apple.
  • Use Apple's Personal Safety User Guide and iPhone's Safety Check to review what you share.
